2. Mai 2023: Dankesschreiben des Gesundheitscenters in Gobo
Oh my dear. Wish to thank you and Ashia Cameroon for the generous donation of six hundred thousand francs received last week. You remain a real blessing to our Good Shepherd family here in Abangoh Cameroon. Thanks a million times. You will have to visit the fence when next you come to Cameroon. God bless Ashia Cameroon. The children are not only grateful but very very grateful.
God bless. Sr. Jane
Thank you Mrs Katja for this message about Norrie disease. Rosalie went to Yaoundé on this morning; she comes back tomorrow with Maurice for the holidays. The good news is that Maurice has succeed for his exams and went in CP. I will send to you his book notes for this school year soon. So it is for me the occasion to say to you and your husband and friends, my thanks for all you do for Maurice’s education and for my family.
Yours, Mathias
Dear Friends, happy new year 2019 to all of you out there. We have quiet been missing from each other due to the prevailing situation around us.
We want to thank you people for the relentless efforts in putting smiles on the face of our children. We happily received the sum of two hundred sixty five thousand francs yesterday Tuesday January 15, 2019 and was disturbed by network to return a word of appreciation and thanks immediately. This money was paid in this morning at their school as part of their fees for the primary school section. We managed and complete those of the secondary section but those of the primary were still pending since people are complaining of hard times because of the present crisis.
We have more than five of the displaced children at our center which are already enrolled in both primary and secondary schools. We do have an increase of population at our center now. It is not really easy for us coping with them but God is in control. Here are some fast pictures we took with the smaller ones just returning from school.
We want to sincerely applaud you for all the financial and the moral assistance you have been giving us all these years. May the Lord continue to guide and protect you for us and the rest of the so many children who are privilege to benefit from your unconditional love.
Extend our gratitude to the benefactors as well as our New Year wishes. May God mightily bless you all.
Sylvester & Margaret Loh, St. Arnile Marie Handicap/Orphanage Home, Douala, Cameroon
Oh dear Kathy you have done it again. We got your money yesterday. Sister Ben and Sister Mary Lawrence are in Abangoh Bamenda while I am in Bafut with some children. We are working on the farms and so on. We can never thank you enough for what you do for the home. The good Lord himself bless you. Sister Ben always share with me your work in the far North. Oh you are a blessing. You will need to write a book to tell the world how it all started. It is amazing what the three of you are doing. What a life of sacrifice. Only God can inspire such a work.
We are doing fine in Bafut now. We have not heard gun shots these days but other parts on Cameroon has not been easy so we can only pray. All the kids here with me send their greetings to you both and to all those helping you to help us. This day on the picture we had to run to the bush because the military was breaking into homes and loot and doing terrible things.
God bless. Sister Jane
Dear Katja and Felix
Greetings from Diangha Senocia Natang and family. I am very happy for what you have done to my family. Happy for your educational support and very grateful that i passed the Advanced Level General Certificate Examination (A/L GCE) in three subjects.
Thankful for your encouragement, i will like to continue my education in the university of Bamenda (Uba) studying accounting.
My elder brother also passed the Higher National Diploma (HND) examination this year, my junior sister will be writing the
Ordinary level General Certificate of education next year and my
junior brother is going to form three next year too. My parents are
struggling with their farm cultivating maize even though they lack
farm inputs to improve but they are grateful for you people.

Dear Felix and Katja. It has been a long time since we last discussed or met. We were desperate and confused since we lost two members of our family last October. We acknowledge receipt of your donation and a laptop for our projects. The money will help clear remaining school fees for the children and we will be able to get their report cards as they were held back because of the remaining fees. Thanks so much for the assistance coming at the right time. Attached are some pictures we took with the children with our gifts.
Accept greetings from us, the children and Sr. Louismarie who has come to assist us with some pertinent issues of the center. She resides with us at the center for the mean time. Thanks once again and may God Almighty bless you abundantly. Sylvester & Margaret Loh, St. Arnile Marie Handicap/Orphanage center Douala – Cameroon
Good morning Katja and Felix, we are very grateful to have received the sum to serve as school fees for some of the primary school kids. Seven of them will benefit from this amount. We keep on praying that donors continue to find favour on us so that we can be able to finish with their fees including the arrears of last year which is still pending. We want to thank you abundantly for coming to us in times of great need. God bless you.
These are the children that will benefit from the funds we just received from you. Thanks a lot. Mme Loh Margaret

Dear Katja
You are great, thank you for acting so fast. Thank you for being voice
for the voiceless and a visible presence of the invisible God.
Be sure of my prayer for you.

Aufgrund dessen, dass die Internetverbindung im ganzen englichsprachigen Teil von Kamerun abgestellt worden war, erhielten wir vorübergehend leider nur noch wenige Nachrichten...
Dear Madam, thank you very much for the parcels with glasses we received last week. It is very kind of you to think of the need of our patients. We will sort out the glasses, clean and mark them before dispensing to the appropriate patients.
Kind regards and best wishes from the whole Eye Team

This is the day the Lord has made. We were so privilege and honoured a few minutes ago when Mr Gregory drove into the center with childrens school fees. This amount will keep them back in class next term. We want to thank you so much as well as the sponsors for the marvellous job they are doing in assuring a better future for these children. May God continue to give the strength and good health to be able to come to the assistance of these children and others around Cameroon and beyond. The children were full of excitement. Extend our Christmas and new year wishes to your family and to all the sponsors. May God bless you abundantly.

Good morning to Katja and Felix
It was with great pleasure that the special branch police station in Bali received on 1/11/2016 a computer for service use from Mr. Feh Gregory of Ashia Cameroon. On behalf of my hierarchy, I wish to express my heart felt gratitude to your NGO. We wish this gesture continue. Best regards. I am the commissioner of special branch.
Mbiba Samuel
All my collaborators and myself are sincerely grateful for your kind gesture towards the Bali prison.
While waiting for more like Oliver Twist, kindly receive pour warmest regards,
Moise Mekongo
Hi Katja,
Thanks for your mail. We are happy to hear that you returned home safely. We would continue to recognize and appreciate the help you have given us over the years. Without you people we would have maybe drop and send away some of the children because we do lack sponsors. Cameroon government and Cameroonians do not cherish charity work and so we are always challenged in terms of feeding, schooling and health care. Right now we have not registered any child in nursery and primary school and we have twelve of them. We managed to pay the five in secondary school and the three in the university are still at home for lack of registration. As we said your regular support on these children have encouraged us a lot and reasons why we are still persevering.
May God continue to give you the energy and the spirit of this love that you have shown to Cameroonians in general and us in particular. Extend warm greetings from the children to Felix and those who have been helping them at the back ground. Your reward is in God's hands.

Katja & Felix
Good day to you all. Sorry for sending this late mail of greetings and appreciation. We have been living without energy to supply light and that made us stay without a network connection.
We want to thank you so much for the financial assistance. In fact it was so timely because it came when the children were down with illnesses of different kinds. You have been giving these children a lot of assistance and we do lack words to say thank you. We know the Almighty God is using you people to help us and he will reward you abundantly. Our words of thanks can not be enough in return for all the good things you have been doing to us. The children are on holidays and very soon we need to start preparing for their going back to school because it is so stressful when we wait for the last days. Whatever little thing we have now we buy one thing and keep. More children will be going into nursery one and higher classes this academic year and we actually need to hasten up with their school needs when funds are available in time from charitable people like you.
Katja & Felix, we still count and rely on you. Whenever necessary and when opportunity occurs for you to assist us as usual, please do not hesitate. You should know that without you people, we would have dropped some of the projects concerning these children.
Thanks once again for everything. Stay blessed and have a pleasant time.

My dear Katja,
Special greetings from this end of the world. I would really have loved to reply earlier to your mail but like you know, black man palava! It all had to do with network problems.
Our schools are now on holidays and the compound is rather quiet. Lots of repairs in terms of buildings, benches etc. We had hoped that the Nursery school will see the light of day but nothing has happened so far. As to what I mean by a locally made band, I am talking about the set of bands used for marching with the accessoriesl. There are those who produce them locally and we sometimes go for these because they are cheaper and last longer. I will attach some pictures of the old consignment.
We continue looking forward to seeing you in the not-too-distant future in Akwaya. Our regards to all our friends and well-wishers.
Fraternally,
Father Anselm
My dear Katja,
It is always nice reading from you. Hope you are doing fine in every respect. Back here we are doing great knowing that it could be worse and that happiness is in the mind! I get you quite clearly and will always furnish you with anything that shades light on the educational realities in our famous Akwaya. I got a set of locally made band for the kids and they are so happy. My regards to those near and dear and may God bless us in all our endeavors.
Father Anselm
Dear Katja and Felix
How are you? Hope well and busy working hard to keep on with your big good work you do for us in Cameroon. May God continue to give you all you need for body and soul. Thank you for being a visible sign of the invisible God for us. I am very happy to inform you that the 7 children you have been sponsoring in SAFRAHOST are going to graduate this year 2016. May I beg to ask you if you will still be able to sponsor other new 7 children in September. Waiting to hear from you.
Best regards, Sister Hedwig
Dear Katja,
Thanks so much for the mail and all look forward to seeing you and partnering with you. The building I actually sent is the makeshift structure for the nursery school. We just started this year and have about 38 kids. There is need with nursery two coming up to look for a more conducive and permanent site for the kids. I believe that in a place like this the only way to give the people a future is through good and sound education. The present primary school structure also has its own story to tell. Once here I am sure you can judge things for yourself. Sr. Angela is doing well with the college, the usual ups and downs notwithstanding. My regards to all your friends and family members.
Praying for you and wishing you all the best in all your understandings.
Sincerely, Fr. Anselm
Gratitude: Our dear ASHIA friends in Switzerland, we and the children were happy to read from you. The children were happy as they received their gifts. We bought cups for them because many children and adults are sick from drinking water in dirty cups. Each child in our school now has a clean, new, personal drinking cup to use at home and in school. Some of the cups are not visible in the pictures because of their colour. We also bought a mini DVD player to play lessons on television since we don't have a projector screen yet. We again bought a second hand volleyball. Our pictures are not bright. I hope you will be able to see a little bit.
My dear Katja,
So nice and lovely reading from you. I am glad you reached safety and are looking forward to another trip. Thanks for reassuring us that you will not forget us. Sr. Angela is up and doing now. There is only one Catholic primary and nursery school. The primary school has two sets of buildings that are made of sun dried blocks that have existed for over forty years and have need too of being refurbished. When you come you will see things for yourself. For the rest we remain happy and make sure we are satisfied with what is there. My regards to those near and dear.
Dear Katja Bruhin,
Happy Easter to you and Felix. We had a very nice Easter and we are all doing well. Sr. Fidelis is fine but as you know she does not know people any more so we accept the situation as it is.
Praying for you.
Sr. Linda
Dear Katja and Felix,
Hope your trip was a safe one and I hope you are still enjoying your birthday we celebrated at Bali.
I just wanted to greet you, to tell you that the project is still going on and that I'm using the phone you gave me. Yana is teaching me how to use it.
All the best.
Sr. Thea
Hi dear Katja; Star bilingual thanks you for the beautiful pictures. We wish to inform you a little about our school. It was founded in 2004 by a community common initiative group (CIG) called «Bon Ba Nyonga», meaning children of Bali Nyonga. Since its creation Star is leading the Basic Education in Bali; easily noticed in its exceptional performance in the general end of course exams. We have also learned a lot from other schools and also acknowledge that we are still far from being a modern primary school «la a bo mia-mia» .We thank you for all you are doing to support education in Bali.
May God bless you with peace and fulfilment. Our pupils humbly ask you to greet Switzerland children for them. Thanks.
Happy to know you both arrived safely. Yes it was a great day and we are happy you enjoyed it too. That is just the little we can do for you. I just returned from Mbetta last night. It is a place you should see as you have promised.
Missing you so much.
Sr. Xaveria
Dear Katja
Accept greetings and sincere best wishes from this end of the planet. I hope that you had a nice and successful trip out here in Cameroon. It is rather unfortunate that we could not see each other. It is understandable. I am glad that you succeeded in meeting Sr. Angela. God's time is always the best. I am forwarding to you some pictures reflecting the school situation out here. My regards to all your friends and benefactors.

Our dear Kathy and Felix, thanks for your reply. Please keep Mbetta in mind and Akwaya. These are really needy areas that need education in all forms and health care. I am trying to get a good health center in Mbetta at all cost. What is there now is what i put up in 1981 and is serving so many people. I population of roughly 5000 inhabitants. At moment i have made a plan of the health center and i am appealing to all good wishers. With your help children are going to school through the help you gave to Sr. Agnes. Each help is so much appreciated. Thanks for all you do for our congregation as a whole. We remain united. God bless all your efforts. Greetings from all the sisters.
Sr. Xaveria
Dear Katja and Felix Bruhin, I want to wish you a happy New Year and I want to thank you once again for your kind help. You are really Cameroonians. I want to inform you about the work in the health centre, we started work on the 4th of January and since then we already got far. In the attachment you will find the information about all the work in the hospital. And we will continue to update you about the work.
Kind regards, Sr. Thea

Ongoing work in the Catholic Health Centre Djottin
We have successfully completed block 3 by removing 2 windows which were too old and covered the part with stones. We also completed the showers, the toilet and the floors. What is left now is painting of the building. At the moment it is used in admitting male patients.
In block one, the door directly opposite to the toilet has been removed and we covered the part with stones as well. A new door is opened in front of the block. Still in that same block, some rooms have been demolished, making it conducive for patients. Also the door facing the road has also been removed and we covered the part with stones. A new door has been opened in front. Painting is also going on to complete the inner ward. Presently the villagers are appreciating the ongoing project that will change the lives of the people in the community.
We will continue to thank you for your kind generosity.
Sr. Thea
Dear Kat and Felix, thanks so much for your greetings. I missed you this time and will not like to miss miss you again. I will meet you in Bali on the 24th and we will go in to Mbetta. Then you can see another remote area. Please take note of that as well in good time.
Love you all. Sr. Xaveria
Hi Katja and Felix Bruhin. Happy New year 2016. Hope you had a safe journey back. Please do not forget me in Akwaya as you had promised. God bless you. Sr. Angela
Dear Kati and Felix, Wishing you both a very happy Christmas full of peace, patience and love as you go round serving those in need everywhere. May Christ continue to use you both as examples of Christ. May i still take this chance to express my sincere thanks and gratitude for the help you gave to my Niece. Due to that help she is able to continue her studies in Bamenda. I hope she will be able to meet you in person for appreciation. Since you are around i will do my best that you meet her. God bless all your efforts, Praying for you always.
Sr. Xaveria
Hi Katj, long time no news. Hope you are all in good health. I hope to be in Mayo Darle by Christmas. We bought 2 bags of rice, 2 big tins of milk, 1 carton of savon and 40 litres of groundnut oil for the orphans, they were very happy though we went when half of them were still in school. All these things costed 118 000 francs. Here enclose is the photo of the children with Sr. Elvira.
Sr. Candida
The Pupils and Staff of GS Beisen Bali Cameroon wishes you all a merry Christmas and prosperous New year 2016 in advance.
Hi Katja. Hope you are fine? We now busy with exam. Greetings from Akwaya. God bless you all. Sr. Angela
Our dear Ma Katy and Pa Felix
Accept greetings from Bangang. I wish to say that all your children are doing fine and each is very happy. On behave of the children I wish to sincerely thank you and all the friends of Ashia for the new life you give to these your children. We cannot forget to thank God for Mr. Ni Gregory who is a full time Coordinator, always present to look into the welfare of the children and to give advice so that everything is good.
I know that you people are very busy. Parents who have so many children like you cannot even have time to rest. You are a happy couple with too many children, in fact, your motherhood and fatherhood is a very special call and vocation from God. Thank you for accepting to give new life to so many children. You are very generous parent. Your children are all looking forward to meet you again; they are all happy.
Thank you thank you thank you.
May God bless you and all your friends of ASHIA.
Sr. Clementine
Nice to hear from you after a long while. Happy to hear you will be here in a few weeks from now. We will be anxiously waiting for you. We have sent to you a group picture of the population of the center and a picture of an abandoned child who was brought to us just two months ago. We have also attached a list of school children and their school requirements. We pleaded the school authorities to keep some in school while waiting for their school needs and fees to be paid. However, we will discuss more when you arrive. Thanks so much for always thinking about us.
May God bless you abundantly.
Our best regards
Mr & Mrs Loh
Greetings once more. I did phoned Ni Gregory and he was very happy about my transfer to Mayo Darle, I pray and hope to be of good use to you there.
The two aid conditions are already installed. I bought them for 420 000 CFA and the installation was 69 000 CFA making a total of 489 000 CFA. The remaining money w'll curtains and some blankets. Here are the photos and Sr. Elvira.
Whe Katj greeting everybody for me, see you soon.
yours Sr. Candida Lo
Hi Katj,
Breaking News! I am transferred to Mayo Darle. Who could ever believe such a thing. God is revealing many good things to me this year. I am happy to go back and finish what I left undone there. I never knew I could hold a passport in my hands that I am going to Europe and it has happen. The two of you are the cause of my joy this year. Thanks a lot and god bless and reward you abundantly. I will be there by December 2015.
Please any project of Edea will be well control by the superior of the house Sr. Elvira Tukov, i will send you her photo this week end together with those of the Air condition.
Greet everybody.
yours Sr. Candida Lo
Dear Katja & Felix
Accept greetings from us and the children of St Arnile Marie Handicap center Bonaberi Cameroon. How are all of doing as regards your health and your well being? We are doing pretty fine with the children though some of them are still to go to school due to lack of school fees. Reasons been that more 6 children just came into the center this year excluding an abandonned child. We have managed to send two into the university this year and paid part fees for some but most of them are at home. When ever there is an increase in the population of the children, everything increases too, like feeding, medical care and all. However, we are praying and pleading for your usual financial assistance which will go a long way to reduce our burden. We would want to recognise your relentless assistance to these children over the years. The two that were operated have started their secondary education this year. Their new dormitory has just been completed and we now lack equipment like beds and all necessary stuff to put inside to enable a befitting residetial environment for the children.
Stay blessed and until then.
Mr./Mrs. Loh

Dear Katja,
greetings! Come to think of the fact that since we last communicated I have been unable to upload and send the pictures to you due to the inreliable nature of the network. Sometimes one is inclined to believe that this continent is dark in many respects. Any way, early next month I will be out of Akwaya and I am sure the gods of communication will not fail me this time.
My love and regards to those near and dear.
All the best.
Fr. Anselm
Hello Ma Katja,
glad to have read from you. I am in la Verna and there is network problem that is why we are unable to communicate through skype. In a weeks time i will be in Bali. Thank you so much for always remembering us. The sisters are doing fine, but sister Anna is still in Njinikom. We are anxiously waiting to have you in our mist once more. Extend our greetings to all. Ni Gri told me about the next visit but I am still to prepare the invitation letter.
Good bye.
Hahaha oooh the photo is very lovely. I think now of the nice time we had in Banyo. Indeed u made my mission there very very successful. I must say a very big thanks. Do you still offer the nursery school in Banyo help?
I was to do three years in Kenya but by God's grace I was able to make it in two years. I am the principal of COPOFASS Bangang and living with Sr. Clementine in the same community.
The former principal, Sr. Anna told me of the help you offered to our school and the plans you still have and I was very happy because I know very well what you and your beloved husband are capable of doing.
I am glad and anxious to see you people again when you come to Cameroon. I wish you God's abundant blessings and protection.
With love and prayers
Sr Priscilla Timben
Hi Kate,
hope u all are fine. It has been quite a long time no communication. I was send to study in Kenya and I am back this August. I am the Principal of one of our Colleges in Bangang in the Diocese of Bafoussam. Just to greet and thank u and your benefactors for what you do to help the poor in Cameroon.
May God bless you abundantly.
With love
Sr. Priscilla Timben
Our dear Mama Katy and Pa Felix
Hope you are getting on very well. We are fine here and all your children are doing well. Infact you are happy parents, you have given real joy and a future full of hope and new life to all of these children.
They are all happy. You have given new life to many children and their dignity is upheld. You are happy parents with happy children; thank all the friends of Ashia who are helping you to care for all these your many children. We are praying for you. May God give you many generous people to help you continue to help the children.
May God grand you protection and long life in this world.
Thank you very much.
Sr. Clementine
Hello, it’s been very long since our last communication. I made Sr. Scholastica since they came back and she told me gifts were given to you people and you sent yours to me. This is great love shown to me. Thank you very much for the concern. How is pa Felix, your parants and his parents? Extend my greetings to all. I tried to add you to my skype contact and it was not possible, and i really wanted to talk to you while seeing you. Some children are under treatment in Bafut. God bless you for the good work. Once more thank very much for everything.
Good bye, thanks
Sr. Magdalen
Katj Bruhin, I was delighted reading from you and getting all the news over there. I am happy to hear that Jackqueline had a safe delivery. May the Lord be praised. Also happy that your new worker is a good one, it is not easy to find one like her. Ha! Katj when shall we come to eat all those nice things you have preserved from your garden? We miss the preparatory part a lot. However it might be the time you come to Cameroon, what we have here will ready and you show how to preserve them. Now we are having a lot of rain and so profit water from it. I tried my first seedlings and the rain has spoiled all, thank God I never sowed all. The sisters have decided to buy 2 Air Conditions with the remaining seven hundred thousand francs, for the visitors room. Which i think is of get help to visitors who come just for a visit and are unable to stand the heat especially during the nights in the dry season. By mid October I will be able to send you some photos.
Greetings from all the sisters with thankful hearts. Missing you, hope to see you soon. Attached is the form for the water project, i hope it is what you expected from me.
Ma thank you!
Sr. Candida
Dear Katja

I will make sure I send you pictures of the children. They are all doing well and looking big and happy. We thank God for you.
When are you coming next to Cameroon? We have very bad weather. I am trying to attach some pictures to you, all in vain. I will try again by the end of the week. May God bless you and give you all you need for body and soul.
United in prayer

Appreciation
From the bottom of my heart, I say thank you for the first you have taken, God is great. I have been very unstable (meetings, retreat celebrations and so on.) I just came back from Bamenda on 5/9/2015 after staying there a week.
I knew that you will be waiting to get more information about the remain money, it is still intact. We have to sit down as a community and desire on what to do since I came retreats have been going on and one sister is coming back the other one goes, hopefully by the end of this month we shall all be together and then come to a conclusion, for we started reflecting on what to do but never concluded. Mama I will not fail to give you the account.
As for the water project, here in Edea I will not know anybody that can do this work. We have a sister of ours who can help with the project but she is now on home and she will coming back by the 20/9/2015. Once I talk with her, I will gather the information, fill the form send it to you. Thank you very much for understanding.
I am home sick of Switzerland the most beautiful, clean and well organized country. Hope to visit it once again. I miss you just too much.
Hope to see soon in Edea. Greetings from all to all around you.
Sr. Candida
Hello Ma Katj, may God bless you people abundantly. We are really doing fine except Sr. Anna who is still in Njinikom, but she is gradually getting better. Sr. Mary who is with us lost the mother and the funeral shall take place on Wednesday 9th Sept. 2015. Please we are gradually finishing the questions and I think that by the beginnig of next week the answers should be with you. The workers in the Health Centre are all doing fine. Sometimes I am too busy and that is why your mails delay to be answered. Extend our greetings to Pa Felix and all friends of Ashia Kamerun. Thanks very much for your constant support and community. Goodbye have a wonderful time with the Lord.
Sr. Magdalen
Our dear Ma Katy and Pa Felix
Hope you are all getting on very well. You should really be happy parents with so many children. Your joy and happiness is not only because you have so many children but more because you see their positive change and development. They joy you give to all these children is wonderful. There were some with multiple operations but all is fine. The last ones are still in the hospital.
The child Ngonga Gheslain who had serious operations still fell last week in Bafut when he was trying to walk. His leg is broken again and he was rush to the hospital in Njinikom. We hope for the best for him.
Many thanks for the knee shoes that you sent to Arnold and the brother. They are very happy.
On behave of the children I wish to express sincere thanks and gratitude to you Ma Katy and Pa Felix for giving new life,
a very bright and happy future to so many of these your children in Bangang, Mbouda etc. God will bless you.
Thanks to all the friends of «ASHIA», right now I have 23 very little girls and boys with real handicap ready to be operated when you take Sr. Scholastica's children and it is possible to help them tell me to prepare them.
Sincerely yours Sr. Clementine
Thank you very much Ma Kathy for the mail. I am sorry that I was for retreat and I saw your mail later. Ni Gri gave us the questions and we are working on them. Concernig news in Bali now, Sr. Anna was operated upond and she is presently resting in Njinikom. For us back in Bali, we are only discussing about our theatre wondering when the building shall be standing complete. Accept greetings from all the sisters and extend our greetings to Pa Felix and all the friends of Ashia. The Junior Felix that I told you is doing very fine. I have not yet seen the sisters to chat with them but I have heard that they are looking extremely good. Thank you very much for your love and kindness. As soon as we are through with the questions, we will give them to Ni Gri to send.
Thanks, Sr. Magdalen for the Sisters in Bali
We wish to thank you so much for the lambs they all arrived safely and we are already using them. They are of great help to the patients that we take care of them. It was nice to hear from the sisters that you took good care of them and they are very happy to have been there with you and to see many benefactors who are helping us. Thank you for all.
Sr. S. gave the envelope of one hundred thousand Francs 100,000 CFA for the orphans. Should I use it for the three of them or only for the girl, because that can help the three children for the school year. If you agree that I should use it for them then I shall give you the account after paying their school fees for the school. I shall do what you tell me to do not what I want. The mother is very happy and asked me to thank you for he. Accept many thanks from Sr. Petra and myself for the lambs. You make it easy for us to do our work and to enjoy the work. After the nice, beautiful country, job experiences, nice food, chances to see Rome /Assisi, that filled my brain with new ideas, I am back home. We had a safe journey and our people to see us back in good health and fit again to take up our jobs. I have not even open the boxes but I started sharing my experiences with my sisters and they are very happy.
Every single procedure that I take up, I will let you know and possibly send you the photos of each activity. Thanks very much, greet your parents, Margarette, Benno, Anna Catherine. Greet them all.
Sr. Candida
Hi Katja,
thank you SO MUCH for all you have done and will do in Djottin. You will continue to work with the matron of the health centre, Sr. Thea. I am praying that God should give you the means to reach out to Akwaya as well. The two sisters will tell you how needy Akwaya children are.
May you be blessed always.
Sr. Angela
My dear Katja and Felix,
Peace be with you today and always. I am writing to you with trembling hands. You have responded so fast to my request and I am so overjoyed. I will be calling Pricilla to break the good news to her and her parents. How I wish you could see them jumping for great joy!
Indeed, Priscilla is a blest girl because whenever I ask somebody to help her the person often responds positively. I think God is rewarding her for her good conduct. It is my great desire to see her settled. I will make sure that you receive all the information that you require.
I am glad to know that Sisters Scholastica and Candida are your very good friends. May the bond grow stronger. Thanks a million! May the good Lord continue to replenish your store of generosity and keep you in good health as you take care of all His poor children. Hope you do fine time to enjoy the summer. I will be on a five day retreat beginning on Sunday, 19th July. I'll keep both of you and our generous collaborators in special prayer. May God bless you all.
Yours in Christ, Sr. Mary Francis
Dear Katja and Felix Bruhin,
Thank you very much for all that we have done together in Djottin. God would certainly bless you.
I wish to inform you that I have been transferred to Akwaya to start up a college. The name of the college is St. Agnes Comprehensive College Akwaya. So I do not have enough classrooms yet, I am renovating some old rooms to start up with. It is not easy but I know the children of Cameroon are yours and you will certainly support us in putting up classrooms in this school. There are so many children in Akwaya whom you will like. The people are poor but very welcoming.
The environment is beautiful, it has well shaped rocks and a hilly terrain. You will definitely like the place if you visit me there. We already have an orphanage and a health center there. We intend to now start up a college there this academic year.
God bless you and I am waiting to hear from you. Ni Gri showed me the photos with Sr. Scholastica and Sr. Candila. They are just so beautiful. Thank you for bringing them there.
God bless you all as you continue to support his children.
Sr. Angela

Hope you are getting on very well. All your children are getting on very well. Those who were operated are getting well, some are already discharged from the hospital.
You are a woman with a big heart. Thank God for giving Pa Felix who has the same big heart toward the poor children. You can not even count your children. They are many.
We wish to thank all the members of Ashia group, all their friends and all the generous people who are helping us. Children can smile, some can go to school, some can eat, some can wear clothes etc. You have done much to be remembered. You have given life to each of these children. May God bless you.
NB: Ma Katy, I still beg and pray that God should help you to get somebody that will help to built the rooms for the poor girls.
Sr. Clementine
My dear Katja and Felix Bruhin
Peace be with you. How are you? I am very well. Thanks to God! Long time no see, no hear from each other. Once more I thank you so much for the sewing machine which you gave to Abibatu - my deaf and dumb special child - at Kekakelake in Kumbo. She and her parents are very grateful. I hope to see her at work, using the machine when I am chanced to go to Kumbo either next month or in August since it is holiday time. When do you intend to come to Cameroon again?
I beg you once more for your generous assistance: I will be very grateful if you help a girl from a poor family who has learned knitting but hasn't enough money to buy a knitting machine. She will also need some wool in order to start off her business and help herself. She comes from a poor background in Tabenken, Nkambe Division. I admire her because she is of good conduct, hardworking and persevering.
May the good Lord continue to bless and take good care of you as you do to others. We remain united in prayers. Hearty greetings to all our generous friends.
Yours in Christ, Sr. Mary Francis

Mr/Mrs Loh, St. Arnile Marie Handicap Cente, Bonaberi, Douala, Cameroon
Dear all,
We want to thank you sincerely for the gift of cash for the purchase of those children's wheelchairs and money for their medic care and school fees. The money came so timely because some of them were already driven for fees. May the Lord continue to bless you, give you long life and properity. We will go shopping for the wheelchairs this weekend and will send you pictures as instructed. Have a pleasant day.
Loh Sylvester
Thank you so much. We are all fine. Everybody is happy for the lab. The civil administrator visited it on the 4th.
Greetings from all the sisters in Djottin.
Sr. Angela
Thank you once more for changing the lives of many Cameroonians,
especially those in Djottin. God is certainly blessing you.
Enclosed is the estimate for the renovation of the primary school.
Father is happy with your proposal to plaster and paint the school.
His plead and problem is that the windows on the unplastered part are
broken, old and different. If they can be uniform, it will be good.
This is the estimate he had made to renovate all, but nobody has
helped him yet. He is happy that you are willing to do part of it.
I have not started the work yet. This is the estimate I made for the
painting.
You will equally see the pictures of the mortuary under
construction and the pit that has been dug.
Sr. Angela
Dear ma Katy and papa Felix,
hope you are getting on very well. Thank you and all your friends of the «ASHIA» , thank you for the miracles you are working through your generosity. Then I still come to you to beg you if it is possible, I am named Coordinator of all the franciscan Sisters who are doing pastoral work. If there are people who love to help so that Seminars can be organised to train Sisters then many of the social problems will be reduced. We will have training on primary prevention, care of orphans and families etc. I will be grateful if it is possible.
We are seriously waiting for you. God bless you.
Sister Clementine Ngong
Our Dear Mama Kathy, Pa Felix and all the members of «ASHIA»

An appreciation for 2013/2014 and application for 2014/2015 academic years.
My parents and I wish to appreciate you for all the support you are giving to us. Actually everybody is fine and healthy.
I was the 6th out of 40 students in our class with an average of 12.
I am spending my holiday in Bamenda with my parents and helping them in the farm. My junior one have also passed their exams to the next class and my elder brother has just written his GCE A/L and awaits his results in August. So I am preparing to write the GCE O/L next year.
We are really thankful to God, for your support is encouraging.
And pray that God should guide, protect and bless you abundantly.
Senocia
We saw those our football stockings. We say THANK YOU! God bless you. Okada is commercial motorcycle. I have a little bag that I hang on my neck when I'm riding. It's my purse given to me by a little, she said it was from ASHIA. It serves me so well: my phone and money are secure. In her name and in the name of others who have not got the means to show gratitude, I say THANK YOU!
Kweyila Finley, Pdt Okada Union, Bali Nyonga
My dear Papa Felix and Mama Cathy
Accept very special greetings from Bangang and give this greetings to all your friends of the ASHIA. The children and their parents, grandparents are very grateful for all you have done to the children in Bangang and its nearby villages. Infact you have put the Gospel into practice. If you read the Gospel of Mathew 25:34-40 this is exactly what you have done. We are very very grateful to you. Listening to all the different ways and words of appreciation from children and people around them I gathered this as they message or words of appreciation to ASHIA. You are a golden treasure to them, you are very nice and special people. For the people of Bangang, you have given new life to the children. They all thank God for the day they knew you.
You saw them handicaped and deformed, not able to smile, sad, miserable, you visited them in their homes, gave them joy, gave them hope, gave them a brighter future by sponsoring their operations ans treatments. There is joy, laughter, hopes and health. ASHIA to all the children; they are very happy for each one of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you; each one promise to pray for all of you.
NB: I wish to say my own thing. Full of joy too as the person working with these children, I wish to sincerely thank you for all the efforts you are making to help us carry on our apostolate very well. Infact, you have put sunshine in my social and pastoral activities, how can I repay the Lord for each one of you? Ma Cathy and Papa Felix are really people of the heart. Infact they are very simple and have a real human touch. Their presence gives hope to suffering people. ASHIA Cameroon is another branch of the work of Mother Teresa of Calcutta. You have this same spirituality. You are all at the service of the poor, sick, deformed, abandoned and the suffering children. Thank you for giving to each child here a very big smile. God bless you all.
I will humbly like to beg your favour here. Infact what I say if it is not good, throw it always but keep me with you. This year my Provincial administration i.e Sr. Roberta and her council, have appointed me the coordinator of all the Tertiary Sisters of Saint Francis doing Pastoral and Social work. As coordinator, I really need to give sessions to the Sisters in different dioceses and their collaborators so that they work better; I also need to train people in my own Diocese. I have tried to summarize all my activities as you will see attached here. I will be very grateful to receive help for any person who would like to sponsor any of the activities and you will have good reports of all the activities. Thank you.
May God bless you. Hoping to see you soon.
Sister Clementine Ngong
Our Dear Mama Katy and Papa Felix,
Accept greetings for Bangang, Mbouda, Batcham, Balatchi, Bamougon etc… your children who are all scattered around these villages are very happy. Thank you and all the friends of ASHIA Cameroon for the love, generosity, sacrifices concern and the attention to the poor handicap and deformed children of Bangang and nearby villages.
Infact I will beg you on behave of the children to give a hug to each of the «ASHIA» members. After God comes «ASHIA» as far as these children are concerned. For each of them, you are Gods. You have given real new life, the lame and handicap children are able to walk straight, to use their hands etc. You have put real sun shine in their lives. We all are very grateful and beg you to express our sincere gratitude to your friends and all those men and women of good will who sacrifice a lot of their money for the operations of the handicap children, for the feeding, and education of some orphans and very vulnerable children. I promise to pray for each one of them.
Ma Katy and Pa Felix, thank you for your courage, patience, perseverance and your human touch to the different children and their family; the joy you have in seeing these children especially for the love you showed to them by visiting them in their homes, on very poor and bad roads, in rain and under the hut sun you were happy to see them. Only people with loving human hearts can do such a work. Thank you. Your visits have been a source of sensitization for most parents to accept to take their children to the hospital. Your visit to different home was a real method of evangelization. Thank you all.
I will do my best to care for the children so that your work should be very fruitful in this country.
Lots of prayers and best wishes.
Sincerely yours Sister Clementine
Dear Katja Bruhin

The pupils and teachers of the G.S. BEISEN school send best wishes and God's richest blessings to you all. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014 IN ARREAR!
Nambawarr Shipu
Happy new year 2014 from hope family and very happy to read from you after a long time. I as the proprietor of HOPE BILINGUAL NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL IDENAU, will continue to appreciate the gifts that your organization offered to this institution through Mr. Gregory Feh Bigala of yours which went a long way to encourage the children am struggling to recover from this fishing area who had abandoned education to go and stay at the beach doing small odd jobs to get small fish. We are again very grateful and be expecting you at any time that you want to visit us. Our doors are open for you as members of hope family. God bless.
I am writing to thank you for the bags you sent to me for distribution to the pupils in my school (Hope bilingual nursery and primary school IDENAU) through Mr. Gregory Feh Bigala. I will sent the pictures of distributions to you when there are downloaded. A brief history of the school's creation. I worked at Idenau as the Chief of frontier police and discovered that children leave their homes instead of going to school, remained at the sea shore with fisher men who use them for odd jobs. I therefore created this private school to help put an end to this habit. It should be noted that most of the schools around are government and mission with poor discipline.
I will be grateful if you consider my school again this school year. Thanks in advance. You are highly invited to visit the school which is situated behind the motor park at Idenau west coast sub division, south west region Cameroon.
Asobo Emmanuel

I am Mr. Loh Sylvester of the St. Arnille Marie Handicap Center in Douala which you visited though in my absence. I was privileged to talk with Madam over the phone. I write to thank you so immensely for the financial assistance you gave us. This day will be remembered by the children and the entire family of the handicap center. This financial assistance is very timely because it came at the right time when we are lacking funds to pay the children's school fees, medical attention for the children, feeding and many others.
May the Almighty Lord replenish your pockets so that this financial help continues not only to our center but to the other vulnerable society.
God bless you and your entire family.
Very best Regards
Loh Sylvester for the entire Handicap Center

Happy christmas and new year in advance. I am the proprietor of the above mentioned school you helped with school bags and other materials last year. My wife and myself have been trying to reach you and appreciate but no way. Mr. Gri from Bali therefore gave me the address. He is the one who gave me the above mentioned school materials.
Stay blessed,

Appreciation letter
Accept Calvary greetings in the blessed name of our risen Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who is at the centre and source of all blessings. On the recommendation and on behalf of the C.B.C. Education Secretary, students and staff of Baptist Comprehensive College Nkwen, I write to express our sincere thanks and appreciations for the donation of classroom mobile chalk boards to the institution.
Considering the fact that BCC Nkwen is just a baby institution with vision and Mission statements as follows;
Vision statement: Holistic and Quality Comprehensive Education to all at Affordable Cost.
Mission statement: BCC NKWEN exists to provide to all holistic and quality comprehensive learner-centred and counsel-based education that is moderately-priced (payable in installments) and delivered in a friendly atmosphere by a God-fearing staff in partnership with parents and the state as her own spiritual gift and a response to the complex crisis of our time.
Our small endeavour to provide holistic education as our small spiritual gift to all who need it and as a response to the complex crisis of our time meets up with your organization's objective of helping and supporting underprivileged people in Cameroon. We strongly belief that such magnificent, timely and very appropriate and necessary gifts will greatly help in the accomplishment of this mission to the glory of the Almighty.
The five(5) mobile classroom chalk boards made up of 3 graph boards and 2 plain boards were joyfully received from the hands of Brother Niclas Selzer – a German volunteer teaching with BCC Nkwen last Monday 2nd December, 2013 by the students and staff of the college.
Our hope and desire is that this gesture of ASHIA Cameroon will form a permanent and strong link between her and BCC Nkwen. While wishing you God's richest blessings and guidance in your various spheres of life, accept once more our sincere thanks.
Yours in His Service
Bumenang Eugene Luh
Diesen beiden Zwillings-Waisenkindern konnte dank Ashia-Spendengeld aus einer finanzielle Not geholfen werden.
An Appreciation of the support of the Academic Year 2012/2013s
From Diangha Senocia Natang to Ashia Group Cameroon. I thank you for the encouragement you gave me to study. In fact it was really a wonderful year it went on very successful .My results were very wonderful. It has been a months time since we closed from school. My delay in writing was because I wanted to gather more facts and experiences from home and school. This year I was awarded the price of the most hardworking in class and the be accounting student also in class, It is through your support that I got all this award sand I promise to receive more awards next academic year.
Next academic year, I wish to write the end of year examination practice in the francophone section In this country known as C.A.P. Then after next year I will write the G.C.E which is the end of year examination in the Anglophone section of this country Thank you very much for the last academic year and all the support, I am very grateful for that. My brothers and sisters also did well in their examination. My elder brother has been promoted to upper sixth, my junior sister has passed to from one and is to go to a government secondary school, this is because my parents have spent a lot in the construction of our new house and does not has money to complete it so that we should leave this disastrous area known as Sisia and my junior – brother to class five.
Back at home, in our house the family is doing very well and no one has fallen sick, an my fathers sick is improving just within this month my parents have made a lot of loss in our poultry and some pigs .But now they are all doing well. Thanks for your support towards me and our family .And I wish to extend greetings from our family to you. May God always provide for your needs. Grand Merci.

Sr. Felicia Tabot Manyoh
Dear Katja Bruhin
Good day. Thanks a lot for your recent mail to me. It was quite a pleasure reading from you. When I gave your message to Sr. Clementine, she told that you had also written to her. I could not reply immeditely because we are at the end of the academic year and there is much to be done as we put together the results of the students. Besides, there are other intervening exercises to be handled.
It is a pity that the spring season is slow arrivig over tere this year. I hope things will soon change and then you can move to the summer and enjoy the warm sunshine. The rainy season started a little early here this year, but the rain is not constant because we do stay at times for more than a week before we get more heavy showers. For this reason, in some parts of the country the crops are not so promising. We continue to pray our bountiful Lord to grant the best to us, His children.
Please Katja, recently I received a phone call from a parent whose deaf and dumb child I sent to the Primary School for the Deaf and Dumb with aid from the Lilianne Funds when I was working in Kumbo. The parent told that the child is now learning sewing and he needs a sewing machine for her. I should be most grateful if you can find one for this little girl to enable her fend for herself once she is through with the sewing course. Thanks a lot in advance for your readiness always to help needy children.
Accept and share our hearty greetings with your husband and all our generous benefactors. May the Lord bless and reward each one of you according to your own needs for soul and body. May the Holy Spirit whom we just received at Pentecost be our constant guide.
Yours sincerely,
Sr. Mary Francis Fohba
Greetings from the entire Fulani community of Koppin Bali. The teachers, pupils and parents heartily appreciate their gift of schoolbags to pupils and teachers, chalkboard to the school, pullovers and phone bags. May God abundantly replenish your pocket.
We hope to see you again next year.
Bayuh Eric
Dear Aunty Katja
This is wonderful, the pictures are so good, thank you. It is good to hear from you again. We miss you a lot.
All your children in Secondary school passed their exams. We thank God for every thing, may his name be praised even by orphan children who thought all hope was gone.
You know you are more than a million parents to this children. God Bless you and your families.
Our Love to Uncle Felix.
Peace and Love
Sr. Mary Ruth
My dear Katja
I wish to sincerely thank you and your husband, all your friends of ASHIA Cameroon, for all your love, compassion, sympathy, concern, attention and your generosity to the orphans and vulnerable children of this area. Thank you for sharing with them. Because of the pandemic of HIV and AIDS, many children are orphans and have no means to education, nutrition, medical care. So your kind gesture is always like a miracle to these children. From your generosity, a few children were helped: to go to school, to have clothing and to have something to eat. Some were operated upon; two of them with serious handicap that cannot be operated have got a tricycle. For all these, I say thank you on behave of the children.
Thank you and all your friends for this great humanitarian work. We promise all of you our prayers. God will keep and protect you all.
Sincerely yours
Sr. Clementine Ngong for the children

The next mission in the new year will not be in March because of the Jubilee celebration of the hospital which you are equally invited. So please plan your next trip in April 2013. The Surgeons will come on the 10th April for the operations and the feat is on the 20th April. Know already that you are part of us on that day. The hospital will be 50 years as a general hospital.

My dear Katja,
Good evening. Peace be with you. I am very happy to read from you once more. Thank you very much for the lovely letter. Yes, I am with Sr. Clementine in the same convent now. She has sent some children to Njinikom for bone surgery. Many thanks for your generous assistance. I always feel very happy when I see the children who go for this operation happy that they can use their limbs like other normal children. May the Lord bless and reward you, your husband and all the other persons who are contributing money to help these needy children.
Meanwhile I want to assure you that there are also many poor children in my new school in Mbangang. I hope you will be able to pay us a visit as you say and then you can see them for yourself. The ribbons will be very useful here because most of our female students do sewing as their main subject. If you can get us some sewing machines also, that will be highly appreciated.
Once more thank you very much for your love and generosity. Share my hearty greetings with your dear husband and all our bebefactors. May the good Lord bless and reward each one of you.
Yours in Christ,
Sr. Mary Francis Fohba

Present here are pictures of computer donated to Saint Francis Home for Skills Training by ASHIA Cameroon. These computers are really of great help to the center because we have been teaching the children theory; the computer has now helped us to do the practical part. For this short while the children have gain a lot of typing knowledge. All of them have mastered the Key board and a few of them can type now without looking at the keyboard and we hope that as time goes on all of them will pick up. The practical part of the computer lessons are done workshop by workshop so as to give each of them a chance to sit on a computer. The children feel so happy and very much interested in their computer lessons.
With the present of computers in the center the children actually feel emancipated thanks to AHSIA Cameroon.

Good day. It's pretty long since you last read from me. How are you? I am very well and have been just to occupied with plenty of school work to be able to sit by the net and write to you. Now we are on holidays and after writing the end of year report the work is getting lighter.
Senocia may have written to you already. She did well in her examinations and has passed to class three. All the students were very delighted when they received the hand bags, purses and towels. Accept their heartfelt thanks for your great love shown in your generosity towards them. I attach some pictures to show you the students holding their gifts.
May the Lord bless and continue to fill you with His love and peace. You are remembered in prayers.

Dear Katja and Felix,
I have not been able to visit my mail for almost two months now because I have not been well. Thank God I am much better now. The computers are working very well. Sr. Hedwig is very happy. Sr. Thea's computer is in Cardiac Center Blood bank because they needed one there badly at the time and there was none in the hospital to spare.
Our crops here have also been suffering from too much sun. Now they are growing very well. It is always very good if one can grow his or her crops. Are you already eating from your garden? Congratulations.
Everybody here is well and you lots of greetings. The containers are very expensive to clear from the pole. Thank God that you have the money for it. For the good work you do, God will always help. That is my prayer. Thank you very very much. God bless and reward you abundantly.
Best regards.
Sister Evelyn Njweng
Mama Katja,
Greetings from Cameroon. How are you settling down after your heroic visit to Cameroon? I know you never used to have time to rest. I am doing fine but feeling very disturbed because till now I have not started realizing my dream. I leave all in the hand of Jesus my Saviour. I beg that you join me in prayers.
I am leaving now to take an orphan to Njinikom orphanage. I don't yet know how I will get the money to pay, but I trust that God will take care. The mother of the baby passed away when the baby was four months old. The father is alive but really looking very sick and cannot even afford buying milk for the baby. The child taking care of this baby is nine eleven years old and dropped out of class six in the primary school to do this. The baby is now seven months and smaller than a baby of one month. All the little girl can give the baby is pounded coco-yam or plantain with palm oil.
Pray for me too when you pray for yourself. Say hi to Papa Felix, I hope he is doing fine.
We remain united in prayers.
Sister Myriam
Hello, thanks very much, I'm writing from BALI COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL (BCHS). We are just one day old into summer holidays. The children were so interested to work on the computers and due to high level of enthusiasm manifested by the students we have decided to organized a free holiday computer classes for the students and the public as from the month of July to August.
Best regards, Clerkson Principal
Dear Katja & Felix Bruhin
I am delighted to read from you and to know that you are well and busy working for us. We are all well and the children are doing very well and very happy working on the computer. I find it hard to attach pictures our network is not the best at Kumbo with heavy rains.
I will try from Bamenda next week to send to you the pictures of the children at the computer classes you will like them. Your gift was a miracle to us. As you see in the report we do not have beds yet and by the end of July we have to give back what we borrowed from one of the schools. It is a big worry for me but I have been telling God to do some thing about it.
Our problems are may but the joy we bring to the children is much. With people like you I know all will be well with us, God is in control of all and I thank him daily for his care over the children and his divine providence. Be sure of my prayers for you and the work you do. When are you coming to Cameroon? When you come you are welcome to have some days with us at the centre we have rooms for you. And SAFRAHOST is your Home. And anything that I can do to help you with your work you are welcome to let me know.
Sister Hedwig Vinyo
On behalf of the kids, staff and parents of our institution, I wish to extend my sincere joy and gratitude for the reception of so many didactic materials. On the 19th of April 1012, schoolbags were shared to 162 pupils and 8 teachers who were present on that day, with file jackets and a toe millepede.
On the 22nd of May 2012 we again gladly received abacus shapes and numbers, jig-saw puzzles, many kinds of stuffed animal toys, color crayons, animal pictures, a football, 2 toy cars, 2 pairs of skating shoes, and more file holders.
The above will go a long way to facilitate the teaching/learning process given their close resemblance to live objects and thought provoking nature.
once more, accept my heartfelt thanks. May God continue to bless you and replenish the source, so that you will continue to do us so much good. Ahsia for all your efforts.
Yours faithfully,
Mrs. Anna Guka'a Fonkem Foncha &
Nanded Lucy Banyonga Tafrey (Headmistress)

Dear aunt Katja and uncle Felix
Thank you so much. I am so happy to hear from you again. Accept Easter greetings from your Children in Cameroon. I am always very happy and encourage to each time I read from you people. You give me a lot of courage happiness to keep doing my work with the children with joy. In short we see Christ in you. Leaving your beautiful country and coming always to Cameroon to see your poor children, it's takes nothing but the Grace of God. And the almighty God will always guide and protect you. Your Parents have the right to be afraid but just as you said God will always protect you. And because you are taking care of the poor, he will never stop looking after you and your families. We think about you every day and we pray for you every day. You are wonderful Servants of God. I had to take that your picture you saw on the wall from Abangoh to Batibo because i want to be seeing your face every day. In short aunty Katja you mean a lot to my life and I love you. I opened the web site on good Friday and saw every thing it's all wonderful. And thank you.
Once more, we say thank you for the money and the things you gave us. we are so happy and Mama Jane too is so happy. We bought food for the children and milk for the babies, chairs, the children now have chairs in their sitting room and they are so happy, locks for some of our doors we bought fertilizer to put on our groups in the farm and we also helped a poor child who needed an operation on his leg but his mother had no money. He was operated safely and is now recovering. Just to let you know you are doing a lot of good to the poor in Cameroon and may god continue to bless you.
Aunty Katja thank God someone in America has help us to build the bakery in Batibo which work has begone. But the children need ward ropes in their Domatries that is a place where they can keep their books, dresses and it will be very helpful to keep their dome tries clean. The children will be so happy to see and use ward ropes in their dome tries.
Greetings to all your friends of Ashia Cameroon in Switzerland and to your parents.
We love you. God Bless
Yours Sr. Mary Ruth Akuphe

Dear Katja & Felix Bruhin
Greetings from Cameroon.
Gratitude is one of the hardest emotions to express and thank you, is not enough and there is no word capable of conveying all that you have done for the disadvantaged children of Saint Francis Home for Skills Training and for those you are helping in Cameroon. So until we reach a world where thought can be adequately put into words. God alone is the only one who can thank and reword you for us.
All I can do is to offer you in my daily prayers asking the lord to give you all you need for body and soul. I got a boy yesterday who can and in-stored the computers one has a problem. So the the children busy preparing the table for the computers and the one for the printer shall be ready today. When all is done we shall take the pictures and send it to you very soon.
I will like to share with you a bit about my work. I am a social worker and for my many years in the Religious life I have been working with the disadvantaged, the prisoners, those living with HIV and now SAFRAHOST, and the old people of Njaivnyuy. For the HIV I have formed support groups and trained leaders who run the groups in villages and once a year we visit them and every year we have leaders meetings to plan the activity of the groups. Seen their drugs is not coming always when every we get money we go round to teach them nutrition which is very good for them and the family we teach them practical cooking so that their are able to cook balance deity for themselves. I also encourage friends and people of good well to support us with dresses, shoes, food etc for those who are poor, we write letters of appeal to get money to pay school fees for orphaned children in primary school. This year we paid fees for 300 children. And a friend gave us school bags and pens and books for 100 children. At the moment we are praying and hopping to get some thing for September or october beginning of the school year in Cameroon. I will say more next time.
Please I want to be a member of your group not just a receiver. So tell me what I can do to be a member of this group.
Be sure of my prayers
Sister Hedwig Vinyo

Dear Katja Bruhin,
Peace be with you. I am happy to read once more from you. The students are delighted to see the pictures of themselves that you have sent by email. They say I should thank you very much and tell you that they are praying for you and begging God to grant you successes in all your undertakings. They are looking forward anxiously to seeing you next month. You will see from the tests they have been writing how hard each one of them is working.
The rains have begun falling here early this year and we are happy and thankful to God. The dry season dust has been watered down and the green plants are already begin to surface. You will therefore be arriving here at a beautiful time of the year when the weather is quite peasant and the scenery is lovely.
Accept and share warm hearty greetings with all your dear once in Europe.
Yours sincerely,

Dear Katy/Felix,
Thanks very much for your encouraging words and assurance to help our children. You are really great and the Good Lord will always bless all your efforts. Yes those you helped are so much alive and their parents are very happy. Those still in the hospital for Sister Scholastica are doing also very well. The doctors did a good job. They operated 75 children with 150 operations.
Thanks for all you do for our people. All best wishes.
Sr. Xaveria
Dear Kathy and Felix,
many thanks for your kind patience for this justification. One of the reasons was the failure of light and internet not working most of the time. Also i was looking forward to seeing you. However i do understand that you are looking for funds to help many more children. We remain very grateful.
As you can see the children are looking good and the parents very grateful for the help. Sr. Scholastica left this morning with some of the children who came for control. All are very happy and thanks a lot for enabling her to carry out this very important mission. Without you she can do nothing for all those poor children. Thank God for your wonderful love and concern.
I am looking forward for your coming next year for the documentation of this work as mentioned. We will do all to enable you do the work. We have so many children again this time. I will send the hard copy of the justification to Mr Ni Gregory for his file.
God bless all your efforts. Thanks a lot. Hope to hear from you if this has come through.

We have very few patients in the hospital now because of the bad roads. The detail report about the things you gave me will wait till you come. Thank you very much. Pray for our country that may have peaceful elections as usual this time.
Greetings to Felix and all your loved ones.

Dear Katja,
Yesterday we had about 40 HIV infected children who were invited to come. They were very happy with the toothbrushes you gave me which were given to them. Some had the toils while others had the hairbands. I could not be with them for I was very busy in the hospital with counseling of patients. One of my fellow sisters took some photos which I shall send to you when they are ready.
With very high regards
Sr. Evelyn Njweng
Happy to read from you. Your small NGO is the best for what I read and I wish to give my support to any of your locations by consulting some of you people free. Thanks for your missionary works and remain bless.

Euer behinderter Bruder

Thanks very much for the concern you have shown to the above Health Centre with all that you gave to support us. Your impact of assistance to the Health Centre like the antibiotics, wheel chair, files, pens, bags, computers etc. was really of help to us. Forceps and other instruments are being used in the Maternity and Dressing room. It has helped the staff, H/C and community.
Old people were very happy to have their gifts as you will see in the pictures and the letter which a blind old pa wrote to me sending thanks. Health committee village members had bags and they too were very happy and gave me potatoes to eat in your name since the potatoes cannot reach you, as a sign of gratefulness on what you have done to their Health Centre and community people as well. It has motivated the community to see that their H/C is out to help them in any way.
Yours sincerely,
Matron Rev. Sr. Bernadette Yengeh

Dear Katja and Felix Bruhin,
Last week Ni Gri was here with a whole load that made very many people in Shisong very happy. I was the happiest knowing that it is because of me and your Love for humanity that you are extending your charitable work to very many needy people especially children in Cameroon.
The Reverent Sister in charge of the orphans with the gifts for the children was so happy. Therese and Brendan said they were going to intensely their learning of the German Language. They are 17 of them Novices in formation. Shisong now is very cold. Some girls who came aspiring to join us in the future started wearing some of the pullovers that were in my package as my superior was too happy to distribute to them immediately it was opened. The joy cannot all be recounted here.
I have no other word to say except THANK YOU and to all your collaborators.
All the best and God bless you and the good work you are doing.
Sr. Evelyn Njweng
Dear Katja and Felix,
accept greetings from St. Elizabeth's Catholic General Hospital Shisong. Thank you very much for all the stationary sent to us. When next you come to Cameroon, please try and visit our institution. We are helping to run a community health centre at Wainamah village which was poorly constructed and l want to do some renovation works but the means is not there. Find attached the pictures of the stationary handed to me in my office by Feh Gregory Bigala. They will be of valuable use to the institution. Once more accept my regards.
Sr. Ebamu Ruphina
Hello good day and may the good Lord richly bless you this day and for evermore. You know we did not think you tell you some of our little experiences with the lenses. Thank you very much for the suggestion. You know as for the glasses which are bifocal and progressive, we gave to those people who badly needed the glasses which corresponded to them. We gave them and a few we sold at give away prices. This has brought much joy to the people and has also increased our circle of friendship. To the negative lenses we also gave at give away prices. As for the sunshades, for children we gave them free of charge and it made them so happy to have glasses. Those for adults, we give them mostly to those elderly persons who have cataracts and to albinos who find it difficult to perceive light. It has been a wonderful experience. Stay blessed.
Jean and Helen
Dear Katja
Thanks so much for sending us pictures of our children. This is very exciting. Our children in a newspaper in Europe this is wonderful.
Thank you so much for what you are doing to us and other poor and needy children in this country. The baby twins are doing very well. You remembered that I told you that these babies survive because of the hot water bottle you gave to us. They were premature and we know that taking them to the hospital will cost us a lot of money and some one to stay with them for almost a month. We decided to use the hot water bottle to warm them up. They will be 4 month next month and are doing very well and happy. So you and the people working with you can see how helpful you are to our people. We remain ever grateful to you and your husband and all the other people working with you.
God bless.

NB. an abandoned child was picked in front of our door two weeks ago. She is improving but still needs a lot of work.
Dear Katja and Felix,
Thank you very much for the reply. We were really sad after the football mach. One cannot always be the winner. It is also raining here more than usual but God has blessed us with our sun that we see it at list once in twenty four hours, even if it is only for a few hours.
I know you always work very hard to help us in any way you can.
Yesterday I was so delighted with a visit from Dr. Thomas, his wife and their last son. I was so happy that the work is going on well in Mayo Darle. His presence there with the help you have given has improved a lot on the health of the population of Mayo Darle. Thank you.
Sr. Evelyn Njweng
Dear Katja and Felix,
Congratulations for the performans of your football team yesterday. During the mach I was in the Operation Theatre to see a heart operation for the first time. It was so interesting to see how a patient is put to sleep while his heart is being emptied of blood and put in tubes to keep circulating in his body. After reparing the heart, it is filled again with blood and shoched to start pomping again. These operations have been going on in our hospital here in Shisong since November 2009. Wach for the operations of this month in the near future at www.shisonghospital.org
Greetings from the sisters here. When I talk to them about you, they all long to see you. Special greetings from the two novices that were in Mayo Darle. They thank you very much for the photos you gave them and the pens. Greeting to you Katja, Felix and all your colaborators, friends and relations. God bless.

Katja,
You do not know the great help you have given to Senosia. You have wiped away her tears for she was so disappointed when her father told her was not to go to the college because of no money and she cried. Katja, this one yearof help is great. May God reward once more abundantly. I do understand alright what you said about your NGO work, I hope and pray that by next year the family should be able. Do thank the donors Ruedi and Roman very much for me.
She did very well in her Religious exams, we are waiting for the results of the common entrance and the first school leaving exams which is still to take place on the 15 -06 -010.
Back here in the convent, we are just as if we in Switland with our micromat wave. Every day specially in the morning, we warm our food, bread and enjoy it. It is actually very helpful.
The rains are heavy here but the crops are doing well, soon we will start eating fresh corn from our own farm. If it were posible I will send you your own share of fresh corn through the internet.
The rain makes it difficult to go through the internet, one needs a lot of patience.
Once more greetings from all to all.
Sr. Candida

Happy feast of the Acension of our Lord to Heaven!
From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you a million times for the quick good gesture you have shown to me and to Senosia in particular. I have no words to express myself, only God will reward you for all.
Ni Gregory was here this morning to give me all the information. Senosia is very happy and she has written a letter which Ni Gregory will send to you via a friend by hand. During the first three years in the secondary school, children do all the subjects and it is only in form three that individual children now chose either to do Arts or Sciences.
The work in the health centre is going on smoothly and very easy when it comes to caring of wounds, doing office work and cleaning of places is concern for all the dressing materials, the gloves, the files and so many other materials you gave to us are of great help to the centre. Merci! Danke! Thank you!
The eight hundred thousand francs you gave us has finished paying the X-Ray Bills. Is that not wonderful of you? The x-ray is functional now and we have started doing the x-rays bit by bit and people are happy about it for this helps them from going so far to Bamenda only for x-ray thus risking their lives on the high ways.
Accept greetings from everybody and I wish you good health!
With Love from Sr. Candide Lo
Dear Kati/ Felix
Special greetings and thanks a lot for answering this my email. I was so worried that it never went. Happy knowing that you returned safely home and continue to think about us. We still do not have enough words to thank you. You do not know what you have done to us. I will be sending you the picture of the house i showes you. Much has been done with the help you gave us in cash and materials. Your contribution was really wonderful and may God bless and reward all your efforts.
Your two children are doing well. They will soon be leaving for Bafut where they will move successfully. Concerning the help you can only do what you can. There is no rush in any way and if there is chance well and if not we are still together. You are in the minds of everyone as we handle all that you brought to us for the hospital.
Greetings from all the sisters, doctors and staff but also patients. Our picture is so nice and i sit there like a very rich sister. Thanks a lot and my love to all who are so generous in all aspects. Love and prayers for all you are doing for us.
Sr. Xaveria
Yours was very much appreciated. I set up the computer with all it's programmes and it is working very well. The people admire the health centre so much, for the nets on the winders crowns the beauty of it all.
Today I used my small hoe in wedding the centre. Is God not good? Thank you very much.
Please, I am pleading, if it is posible look for a sponsor for your small Senosia (one of the small girls in the convent) who will be going to the collage this year. Her parents would have tried but the Goverment have asked them to leave the area where they were staying before the end of this month, they will be force to buy a new plote and build a new which very difficult for them. They are actually in trouble and I don't know how they will manage.
Please, please help this child of yours which you love so much.
The fee for the first year including the books and uniform is about 350.000frs the subsequent years will be about 200.000 frs. Thank you in advance for all.
Greet your parents for us. Have a nice time.
Sr. Candida
Hello Kate and Felix,

Once more thanks so much for everything. We have used the one million you gave as follows:

Buying of consultation cards: 225,000
Infusions: 100,000frs
The remaining 325,000frs to settle old debts of cement for the theatre building.
The population is happy; on the 1st of may we offered gloves to the motor riders and the bags for first aid, we also shared out the dresses to the women for antenatal clinic and poor people around. We gave some of the blankets to the Charity home. In fact we are doing our best to share. The people are happy. Thaks so much;

Dear Katja
Thank you very much for your nice letter of 1/5/2010. I wrote to find out how your journey was but the internet did not recognized the email address so the mail was not sent. I got discouraged. I am happy that you have written. Everything is going fine here.
I could not stay without coming to see you in Bali. It is always a great pleasure for me meeting you and Felix. Both of you have a great place in my life as a servant of God's people. Dear Katja and Felix
We the staff and pupils of the above school are again moved by your wonderful donations of important learning materials to the school. Today we received from your representative Ni Grey assorted material ranging from notebooks, files and many more. In a usual manner we took snap shot in the presence of the parish pastor.
We are very grateful for the water bags and globes which were handed to us today. This is going to help the children in understanding the geography of the world and in understanding other subjects. The children and teachers were very anxious to see you again which was not very possible. In fact, we all missed seeing you due to the approach of holiday. It was later on that we learn of your departure. We hope you arrived safely. We wish you a happy stay and a prosperous working condition. We pray God will guide and protect you. It is our wish that you will have many more opportunities to came to our aid.
We promise to excises duty consciousness, sincerity and assiduity in God vineyard.
Accept warm greeting,

Dear Kate, Felix and Sylvia
Words are still failing me to express our sincere thanks and gratitudes for the wonderful gestures you made to our hospital; The whole Institution asked me to say thank you on their behalf and all be used for the good of those in great need. We so pleased that the Good Lord directed you to us at the right time in the right place. May He continues guide you and increase your generosity and give you strength in your mission.
Hope you had a very safe journey home and found your families in good health. We keep on praying for you and counting on you. Know that we cannot do without you in many ways. My love to all who think about us and are ready to support those in need.
The orthopedic appliances are so helpful already. As we go on you will be of greater help to this hospital. May be we can pass by you to get a two months refresher course in your country for our Orthopedic Surgeon. Please think about it. Switzerland can be of very good help. God has sent you to us. Love you all and miss you.
All best wishes

Dear Katja and Felix Bruhin, [ASHIA]
It is with much honour and thankfulness that I write to appreciate you and our donors for the immense assistance of material and financial donations to P.S and P.N.S Tikali. P.N.S [Presbyterian Nursery School] as you know is a new nursery school whose foundation was as a result of your support.
I acknowledge your grand support of school bags, pens, books, pencils, erasers, rulers, drawing materials and many more; and the financial support of 200.000 CFA to the school. With this amount we have been able to equip the Nursery school with some basic needs worth 100.000 CFA and the balance of 100.000 CFA has been kept for the construction of a Nursery school building of two classroom.
I pray God will continue to provide you with more so that you may be able to help us realise a befitting structure for the kids of Presbyterian Nursery school Tikali that you founded.
Accept sincere greetings from the kids and pupils, staff of PS and PNS, PTA and Manager of schools.
Humble submitted Headteacher
Presbyterian Nursery and Primary School Tikali.

Dear Katja and Felix
Greetings from us all. We are doing well and hope you too are doing fine.
We can never thank you enough for all what you have been doing to our home and to other children in this country of Cameroon. I went to visit our Annext home in Batibo and on my way home i met the kids coming back from school. They were kids from Bali. About 20 of them were having the same school bags that our children in the home are having. I was so happy and I quickly thought of you since you are the ones who brought these bags to our kids. What a blessing. We remain very very grateful to you and all you are contributing for this to happen.
You always come to us when we have nothing left in the house as money is concerned. You came last time when some of our kids were in the hospital and you brought money which we use some of it to pay the hospital bills. We are grateful for the black boards. Very useful for the for the kids tolls and all what you brought.
Cameroon as a whole is blessed to have wonderful people who think of the poor like what you are doing.
Please give our Appreciation to the other people who give thier time money and all the things you bring to us.
We all love you.
God bless.
Sr. Jane.
Katja, you really helped me a lot, I bought the X-ray and it costed 5.5 millions CFA, I have paid only half but I will be trying to see what to do. One obstacle is that I have still to train the person for the X-ray and that is another burden. I am v.v.very grateful for the help. May God reward. You will surely see the x-ray when you come.
The sisters are all doing well and looking foreward to seeing you.
Wishing happy Valentine's day. Keep fit and see you soon.
Sr. Candida
My dear

More details will be yours later; Once more thanks for your generosity;

We wish to thank you greatly for the material that you gave us through Rev. Sr. Prisca of SAJOCAH. We also wish to ask if you have contacted the orthopedic doctor and discussed about our institution. If he can come with you next time to see what we are doing here we will be very grateful. We also wish to get his e-mail address and phone number.
Rev. Sr. Felicitas Asoh, Matron
Dear Benefactors,
I wish to acknowledge all that you brought to us in SAJOCAH. My reason of writing is to tell you these two small words «Thank You» not only for these present gifts but for all that you as Ashia.ch group have been doing and will continue to do for the disabled.
Your financial help will help us to do other things.
You came to SAJOCAH while I was out for other things, but I am happy Sr. Prisca was in to welcome you. We remain grateful to you and pray for God’s Blessing on the Ahsia.ch group.
Sr. Judith Bih, Directress
Goodday or what ever time of the day it may be. Hope all is fine with you people at this period of the year.We are the eye department of St. Blaise Clinic Big Mankon Bamenda. We are indeed very grateful for the glasses you gave us. They have helped a whole lot of people. Once more thank you so much. We wish you God's richest blessings and care.
Yours sincerely, Jean
Dear Katja and Felix Bruhin,
Greetings from me and everyone in Mayo Darle. Everything here is moving smoothly, especially because of the support we get from Ashia-ch, for our work in general. The school year has ended well. The children did so well in their performances. The hopstial too is taking a new shape especially with the construction going on of the operation theater. Waiting your part.
Here is a cassette of our activities in Mayo Darle made at the close of the school year. Show it to those who help you to help us. You will see women in Infant Welfare Clinic sitting on the benches, enjoying the place that Ashia.ch helped us to set for them.
The children in the school are so proud of their school. Discover the rest for yourselves. Most important is the account of all that you entrusted to us under my care (in an envelope sent 2nd week of September).
The balance is already programmed for a young lady who is learning tailoring. Sr. Bernard saw her in one of our out-reach stations and irected her to me. She was given in marriage at 14 years. She has 3 deliveries with four children. Her husband threw her out with the children. She know how to keep a house only. So I sent her to do tailoring so that she can help herself and the kids.
Katja and Felix, very high regards.

BAWOCK VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT AND CULTURAL ORGANISATION (BAVIDECO)
Dear Friends,
Thank you so very much for the following items which you personally delivered to the Chairman of the Bawock Traditional Council on 11 April 2009 for delivery to the needy people of Bawock.
The items were:
Thank you so very much for these things which were already distributed to our needy by the committee in charge. From what you might have seen in the village, the entire Bawock Village suffered acts of savagery unheard of in modern civilisation.
While we are thankful for these gifts, the needs are still enormous, if one considers that the bulk of houses and their contents of furniture, clothes and food, as well as food crops and livestock were completely destroyed. It will take time therefore before Bawock gets out of the dismal situation.
BAVIDECO is the apex organisation in charge of the development of Bawock Village. Should you want to contact us for any information, we are readily available. Again, thank you very much. May the Almighty God replenish your stocks many times over and multiply your blessings.
Yours faithfully,
Joseph Njita
Secretary General
Dear Sir,
we are very sorry for the late presentation of this report. This was due to the health situation of the main technician as we indicated to you. As at now Sir, the foundation is carefully completed and those classrooms which had holes have also been maintained as you can see in the photographs. The school pupils, administration and the whole village are extending profound salutations for all the humanitarian gesture from you.
With kind regards, Charles

The whole of Bali sings about your generosity, they are not able to understand how such generosity. May God reward you.
Sorry, that since you left it has it been possible for us just to greet because of the poor situation of our internet line. I wrote this small note on the 18 /4 / 09, if I am lucky today, this might pass.

Nach etwa 12 Wochen bei uns eingetroffen...
Dear Felix and Katja Bruhin,
Accept greetings from here in Mayo Darle. We are all well and the children have all gone to school.
It is because of the help you gave us that most of them could go to school. We are working on a program that should help to keep more children and their families to be healthy; that is the education of mothers on the improvement on family nutrition. We hope to reduce infant mortality in the near future. Find enclose, the account of what you gave us for helping children. I hope it reaches you before you come. Thank all your friends who are helping you to help us in our work.
With best regards,
Sr. Evelyn
Accept greetings from Bali. The fact is that I have heard about your good works. I want to appreciate the marvelous charitable works you are doing to our orphans here in our society. We are anxiously waiting for the container with the charitable goods. Thank you for your generosity.
You are very welcome to Bali and we are all eagerly waiting to see you in person. May God keep you healthy and grant you safe journey.
Sr. Candida
Dear Katja and Felix Bruhin,
It was a great joy hearing you on the phone. The joy was greater when i heard you are preparing to visit us again. You are very welcome. Some changes have been made. You will beet 3 new sisters when you come. From the ones you met, only Sister Bernard and I are remaining here. We are now a community of 5 sisters. One sister will be teaching in school. Three sisters working in the Health Center and one doing Pastorla work. Part of our community for the moment is the Medical Doctor, his wife and their three sons. And of course the children in the house. We are all well except Ouseni the orpahn boy who went to his maternal grandmother and fell sick. A sister went to bring him to the hospital for treatment today' she is not yet back.
We have helped some children with what you left us for them. Some with clothings, others with treatment and school fees. Part of the money has been used to set up a Nutrition Center. You will see it when you come. We hope to help many more children who are suffering from malnutrition.
Since we have a Medical Doctor now, we are also trying to set up a Small Operation theatre to be able to save some mothers and their children during child birth.
I have had to discontinue my Malaria drip treatment to accompany a woman for Ceaseran Operation at midnight 60 kilometer away. Anything that can help us have an operation theater is welcome.
While waiting for you with very kind regards
Sr. Evelyn
